Peach Cobbler

Ingredients=

4 C peaches

1 3/4 C sugar

2 C flour

3 tea Baking Powder

1/2 tea salt

1/4 C shortening

3/4 C milk

1 egg

1 1/2 T cornstartch

1 C boiling water

In a greased baking dish- layer 4 cups sliced peaches with 1/2 C sugar if using fresh peaches, omit the sugar if using canned peaches.

Blend-

2 C flour

3 tea Baking Powder

1/4 C sugar

1/2 tea salt

1/4 C shortening

Then add 3/4 C milk and one beaten egg, mix well and spread on top of the peaches. Top with 1 1/2 T. cornstartch and 1 C sugar. Then drizzle with 1 C boiling water.  Bake 45 minutes at 350 degrees or until fruit is done.

Serve warm with ice cream or half and half.

Any fruit is delicious with this recipe.
